Terrax, originally known as Tyros, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He first appeared in Fantastic Four #211 (October 1979).
Tyros was once a powerful alien being from the planet Birj. He possessed the ability to manipulate rocks and earth, making him a formidable warrior.
Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, sought a new herald to replace the Silver Surfer. He transformed Tyros into Terrax the Tamer, granting him the Power Cosmic. This transformation amplified Tyros's earth-manipulating abilities to a cosmic scale. He could now manipulate planetary matter and project energy blasts.
As Galactus's herald, Terrax sought out planets for his master to consume, often showing little regard for the inhabitants. His ruthless methods and immense power made him a significant threat to heroes like the Fantastic Four and other cosmic entities.
